This Website is owned and operated by Ariane's Sauces and Stories (Pty) Limited, registration number 2026/742220/07, a company registered in South Africa (Ariane, we, us or our). By accessing or using this Website, placing an order, or subscribing to our communications, you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy and Returns and Refunds Policy.
1. Our products
We offer small-batch food products. Hot sauce is currently available. Tiramisu is coming soon and will be available by pre-order in limited batches once launched. Product images are for illustrative purposes. While we take care to ensure that product descriptions, ingredients, pricing and availability are accurate, small-batch products may vary slightly in appearance.
Please read all ingredient, allergen, storage and use-by information supplied with a product before consuming it. You are responsible for ensuring that a product is suitable for your dietary requirements and allergies.
2. Orders and payment
Orders are subject to availability and acceptance by us. Submitting an order does not guarantee that it has been accepted; we may need to contact you if there is an issue with availability, payment, delivery information or your order.
Prices are displayed in South African rand and are final. We are not registered for Value-Added Tax (VAT) in South Africa, so VAT is not charged and we cannot issue tax invoices. Delivery charges are calculated at checkout, where you can choose from the available delivery options, and shown to you before you complete your order. Payment is processed securely through our selected payment provider. We do not store your full card details.
3. Tiramisu pre-orders
Tiramisu is coming soon and is not yet available to order. Once launched, it will be made in limited, small batches. When a batch is confirmed, ingredients, preparation time and production will be committed specifically to those orders. For this reason, tiramisu pre-orders will not be cancelled or refunded once a batch has been confirmed, except where required by applicable law or where a product is incorrect, unsafe, damaged or defective.
We will communicate the applicable order cut-off and delivery arrangements for each batch once tiramisu pre-orders open.
4. Delivery
We currently deliver hot sauce nationally within South Africa. Tiramisu is coming soon and is not yet available for pickup, pre-order or delivery. Delivery terms, fees and responsibility are set out in our Shipping Policy.
You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address, contact number and any relevant access instructions. We cannot accept responsibility for delays or failed deliveries caused by incorrect details, an unavailable recipient, restricted access, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
5. Website content and intellectual property
All content on this Website, including photographs, copy, recipes, illustrations, branding, logos and design, belongs to us or is used with permission. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, adapt or use it for commercial purposes without prior written consent.
6. Acceptable use
You may not use this Website unlawfully, interfere with its operation, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, or use its content in a way that infringes anyone’s rights.
7. Liability
We take reasonable care in preparing and presenting our products and Website. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any rights you may have under South African consumer-protection law.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the Website or products, except where loss is caused by our negligence, wilful misconduct, or where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
8. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always appear on this page, with its latest revision date.
9. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Website is subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts, without limiting any right you may have to bring a claim before another competent forum under applicable consumer-protection law.
